My Little Juliet ...

Late one night during March Break of 2007, Romeo & Juliet, the Movie, came on one of the Movie Channels, totally uninterrupted and commercial free! This was indeed a rarity, as we only had 2 Movie Channels in Haliburton, and they rarely had anything decent to watch, especially at times such as March Breaks!

No, this was not the 2005 'remake' of Romeo & Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and some girl as Juliet, done as a 'musical', with a gang-like 50's kind of twisted Westside Story version of Romeo & Juliet, but THE REAL Romeo & Juliet Movie!

We're talking about the movie made in the late 60's, with some virtually unknowns as actors in the leading roles as Romeo and Juliet, who reproduced the story, and spoke the lines word verbatim, as Shakespeare himself had written them, expecting that they be played the way he had written these lines.

Well! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven, since it was one of my all-time favourite movies from when I was in my early teens. I asked my daughters if they would like to stay up late and watch the movie with me ... if for nothing other than to see the costumes that the actors wore in this 'old' movie.

More Beaded Ornament Covers

You probably don't know this, but Marie is the eldest daughter of the 5 girls in our family. Yes, 7 children in our family, and let me tell you ... there was never a dull moment in our household, while we were growing up!!!

Since I am not the only Sister whom has received these treasures from Marie for Christmas, I just thought I would share some of the other lovelies with you, that Marie has given to our other Sisters, and our Mom, for Christmas.

Marie gave this one to our Mom. This picture just doesn't do it justice. Maybe I can get another one of it to show you just how beautiful it really is.

http://sredeluxe.blogspot.com is Marie's Blog! Don't know if she put any pictures of the ornament covers up, but there are plenty here for you to look at, so please, continue ...

I believe this beauty belongs to Sarah, Marie's niece. This one reminds me of Cinderella's dress, with all of the swags of beads. It is more prescious in real life than any of these pictures can really show.

All of these were hanging on our sister, Nadine's Tree. I know that all of these do not belong to her; some of them belong to other sisters who were visiting for the Holidays, some belong to Nadine, some belong to Nadine's Mother-In-Law, and ... well?

I'm not sure which ones belong to whom, but they are all lovely in their own right.

If you click on each picture, you can get a better look at the detail of each of them.

Each is totally unique, and awesome when you see them hanging on the tree.

I hope you enjoy viewing each one of them.
Now, on to an awesome 2009!
